2. Reconstruction of homes for flood victims (on going)
a) Taryaq starts reconsturction of 45 houses in Bastee qasaiwala near baseera distt. Muzafargarh. Taryaq owns complete village and will also develop sewerage system to upgrade living standard of the community. Taryaq is also reconstructing & upgrading existing mosque contributed by Hamdard Welfare Programme & plans to build a community centre that will consist of school, vocational training centre and a dispensary
b) Taryaq has started re construction of 2 houses (one room & two room) and one madrass consisting of 3 rooms (for 180 girls) in Nowshehra.
Taryaq targets reconstruction of 100 homes in most devasted areas.
3. Swat IDPs (completed)
- Collection & distribution of PKR 2 Million in 2 months
- Established model camp with the help of Hamdard welfare centre Nowshehra in girls school and supported 40 families out of 100 total families for 2 months in the model camp @ Rs. 5,000 per month per family
- Distribution of basic rashan in more than 400 scattered families staying in remote villages, schools and hujras specially where access is quite difficult
- Distribution of basic necessaties of life like cash, dresses, food items, torches, handmade fans, coolers and other miscellaneous items.
4. Interest free micro financing Qarz e Hasna (On going)
- Taryaq starts interest free loans to deserving families in order to stand on their own feet.
- 3 families have been entertained so far.
5. Monthly Support (on going)
- Monthly support for 18 deserving families for rashan
- Monthly support for 26 kids in the form of education fees.
- Supporting individuals with marriage fund, patients treatment and cash help on case to case basis.
6. Stitching School at Silanwali madrassa (on going)
- Set up of stitching class at Madrassa in Silanwali -Sargodha for 180 girls
7. Tailoring houses in Nowshehra (on going)
- Taryaq Welfare Organization Lahore and Hamdard welfare center Nowshehra as a joint venture have set up "2 x Tailoring Houses" in Nowshehra
- The main purpose of these tailoring houses is to train and give employment opportunities to deserving and young boys and girls.
- Initially we have set up one tailoring house for gents with 2 x tailor master and 5 trainees & one tailoring house for ladies with 2 x ladies tailors and 6 trainees.
- Subsidized rates are offered to the local market to meet up with the running expenses of the tailoring houses.
- Our vision is to replicate the same model and create employment opportunities for more and more people in the local community.
8. Future Projects
- Set up of technical training centre in Lahore for skills development like plumbing, electrician, AC mechanic , mobile repairing, motor cycle mechanic etc.
- Qarz e Hasna on interest free basis for deserving to start small business
- Cottage industry to create employment opportunities
